This is the photo in question, because it is one on which I have tried more consciously to achieve a certain effect.

- Partying with many lights, but I used the built-in flash in the D40. The stand I have not used, was a snap.
Usually I do not like the picture with flash, but ... ->
Post Production:
- I did the black and white using the post-production internal to the camera (I had already decided, when I shot, I'd put in black and white) .
- I cut away the cables and various wires, outlets for lights and speakers and so on (the show took place in the street behind a church, not in the theater, so there were plugs and wires everywhere. Also there were people and my position was required). To do this I used Paint.NET, which allows you to copy and then paste an image exactly the size of the piece of image copied or cut.
- I used Photofiltre to give greater contrast. I have placed great emphasis on the contrasts, the image is coming a bit 'edgy but it's a wanted lamellas. Fr for this I have also used the command "range -" a Photofiltre, curire for a bit 'set (does not mean light, works on color in itself), even though I used very little, I worked more on the contrast .
In general I think the black and white is well suited for portraits, which is posing on a pose, as in the case of this shot.
We must say that I did not use any telephoto lens, I used the base of the D40 which is the only one I have ... and you see ...
